Lions Aim to Lock Down Playoff Berth in Big Rematch with Stamps
September 20, 2022 – Canadian Football League (CFL) – B.C. Lions News Release
(Vancouver)- The 9-3-0 BC Lions are back home for a huge rematch with the 8-5-0 Calgary Stampeders on Saturday, September 24 presented by World Vision. Kickoff is 7:00pm at BC Place.
There is plenty at stake for Vernon Adams Jr. and company as a victory would lock up the squad’s first playoff berth since the 2018 season.
Adams Jr. makes his first home start in orange after throwing for 294 yards and adding 32 more on the ground in last week’s big overtime win over these same Stampeders.
“Winning the first one in Calgary was a huge step and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to play in front of our great fans this week,” said Adams Jr.
“Locking up our spot in the playoffs would be step one in accomplishing all of our team goals this season.”
