Krizan homers, River Cats drop Friday afternoon game “at” Reno

West Sacramento, Calif. – A two-run homer by designated hitter Jason Krizan was a bright spot as the Sacramento River Cats (61-76) fell 9-2 on Friday to the first-place Reno Aces (76-61) in a road game at Sutter Health Park.
For the second consecutive day center fielder Heliot Ramos ignited the River Cats’ lineup with a double, lining his 15th two-bagger of the year with a 113.8 MPH exit velocity.
Three pitches later, Krizan lined an 0-2 sinker 390 feet to right field to get Sacramento on the board (100.5 MPH exit velocity).
Reno righty Deyni Olivero (1-0) earned his first Triple-A win despite zero strikeouts, allowing just the two runs on Krizan’s big fly over 5.2 innings.
Sacramento righty Michael Stryffeler and lefty Aaron Fletcher each spun a scoreless inning of relief, with Stryffeler striking out one.

Additional Notes
Second baseman Ford Proctor went 1-for-3 with a walk and a double, his second with Sacramento.
Catcher Andrew Knapp had a strong day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two singles.
Righty Ronnie Williams (1-1) allowed eight runs, seven earned, on six hits and three walks while striking out three in 4.0 innings.
