Jets Name Brad Stepan VP of Business Development and Operations
September 20, 2022 – North American Hockey League (NAHL) – Janesville Jets News Release
The Janesville Jets, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are pleased to announce the addition of Brad Stepan as our Vice President of Business Development and Operations. Brad joins the Jets after service as President of the NAHL Chippewa Steel last season.
“Brad Stepan caught my attention over the past year with his strong work ethic and willingness to compete to help the Steel organization succeed,” said Jets President Bill McCoshen. “He knows the NAHL and our partners in the Midwest Division and has a proven track record of success. Brad has a passion for the game of hockey, for the players, billets, sponsors, season ticket holders, and fans. He understands what it takes to be successful on the business side to ensure we can continue to advance our mission: develop, promote and advance our players while giving back to the community and providing affordable family entertainment. Brad has a tremendous background in sales which will be necessary as we prepare to play in the new Woodman’s Sports & Conference Center in the next two years,” said McCoshen.
Stepan spent the past 15 months as President of the Chippewa Steel.
Prior to that, he owned and operated SKM Sports; was national sales manager for Sports Headquarters; was regional sales director for IMAP Professionals; was owner/operator of Top Shelf Athletics and Assistant rink manager for the City of Hastings. Brad played professional hockey for the New York Rangers. His son Derek is a former Wisconsin Badger and is entering his 14th NHL season with the Carolina Hurricanes.
“I want to start by thanking owner Kelly Kasik and the entire Chippewa Steel organization. I would not be here without Kelly giving me that opportunity.
I would also like to thank my beautiful fiancé Janet for allowing me to fulfill more of my hockey dreams,” said Brad Stepan. “With all that said, I am excited beyond belief to be working with an organization that has proven over the years that they do things the right way all the time. I am also excited to meet the Jets Staff, billet families, and Jets players, and super pumped to meet the great Janesville Jets fans!”
The Jets will have their home opener on Thursday, September 22, a three-game series against the Kenai River Brown Bears, and look to build off their strong 4-0 showing at the NAHL Showcase.
