Inter Miami CF (10W-12L-6D, 36 points) is set to resume 2022 MLS regular season action after a brief pause over the weekend when it travels to face Chicago Fire FC (8W-12L-8D, 32 points). Kickoff at SeatGeek Stadium is set for 8 p.m. ET.

Inter Miami CF teamed up with Heineken to launch the Heineken Pub Partner Program in order to provide the best experience for fans in South Florida during all the club’s away matches of the 2022 Major League Soccer (MLS) season.
Open Training Session, Meet and Greet Event for Season Ticket Members
Inter Miami CF hosted an open training session on Tuesday, September 6 at DRV PNK Stadium. Head coach Phil Neville and the technical staff oversaw the training session in front of cheering fans, including Season Ticket Members, in attendance on the evening.
Prior to the open training session, the players joined a limited number of Season Ticket Members to take the official 2022 team photo. Season Ticket Members were also treated to another special experience after training concluded, as they attended the first-ever special meet-and-greet session in the XBTO Northwest Club with the full Inter Miami CF First Team roster. Last Match
Inter Miami will be looking to bounce back quickly after falling 1-0 on the road against the Columbus Crew in its last fixture on Aug. 31.
Playoff Push
Inter Miami will enter the pivotal match in Chicago in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings with 36 points. Inter Miami will then face a quick turnaround after a third consecutive fixture on the road, as it will host the Columbus Crew at DRV PNK Stadium on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
Chicago currently sit second to last in the Eastern Conference with 32 points.
Second and Final 2022 MLS Regular Season Matchup Against the Chicago Fire
Saturday’s match at SeatGeek Stadium will see Inter Miami take on the Chicago Fire FC for the second and final time in the 2022 regular season and overall fourth time in club history, with a win per side and a draw in the previous meetings. The last time the sides met was in the team’s season opener at a packed DRV PNK Stadium on Feb. 26, with the match resulting in a 0-0 draw.
Inter Miami Leaders in 2022
Forward Gonzalo Higuaín is the team’s top scorer this year with nine goal’s so far in the 2022 regular season, while midfielder Bryce Duke is the top assist provider, with six this campaign.
Additionally, Inter Miami defender Christopher McVey, who has played in the team’s 28 matches in the 2022 MLS regular season to date, is the club player who’s recorded the most minutes this season with 2,500 minutes played.
Scouting the Chicago Fire
Chicago Fire, meanwhile, will come into the match after a goalless stalemate on the road against the Columbus Crew on Sept. 3. So far in 2022, Chicago has recorded eight wins, 12 losses and eight draws for a total 32 points. Designated Player Xherdan Shaqiri, who’s recorded four goals and 11 assists, has led the team this season.
