IceDogs Trail in the West

IceDogs Trail in the West

October 23, 2022 – Ontario Hockey League (OHL)Niagara IceDogs News Release

It was a multi-point afternoon for Pano Fimis and Nolan Dann as IceDogs fall 8-4 in Windsor to end their western road trip and third game in four days.

Spitfires got the edge first with a breakaway goal 9 minutes into the first frame and two more goals to follow. After 20 minutes the IceDogs found themselves down 3-0.

Niagara was trailing by 5 before the rookie winger, Kevin He, potted his 4th of the season playing on the first line for the second night in a row. Halfway through the second frame, IceDogs star forward, Pano Fimis cut the lead down on a 2 man advantage power-play. David Jesus and Nolan Dann each picked up a helper on the second IceDogs goal. Still on the man advantage, it only took 24 seconds for Fimis to connect again from Nolan Dann and Aidan Castle to get his second of the game. This goal marked Fimis’ 4th multi point night in just 8 games played this season.

The scoring slowed down in the third with each team adding to the score sheet once. Exchanging multiple passes back and fourth on a 2-on-0, Juan Copeland handed the Lakeshore native, Declan Waddick a goal in front of his home-town crowd. In the end, the final score read 8-4 for the home team in Windsor.

We’re back at home vs the London Knights next week on Thursday, October 27th. Tickets are available for purchase here.
