Hounds Roster Heads into Pre-Season Sitting at Twenty-Nine

The Soo Greyhounds are now set for the 2022-23 Ontario Hockey League pre-season.

Training Camp 2022 officially came to a close earlier tonight with Team White defeating Team Red 3-2 in a come-from-behind victory in the Annual Luke Williams Memorial Red & White game.


Following the contest, Greyhounds’ General Manager Kyle Raftis, Head Coach John Dean and their accompanying staff trimmed the team’s active roster down to twenty-nine (29) players.

Remaining with the club are:

GOALIES (3) – Landon Miller, Charlie Schenkel, Samuel Ivanov

DEFENCEMAN (9) – Brodie McConnell-Barker, Andrew Gibson, Caeden Carlisle, Ryan Thompson, Connor Toms, Luc Brzustowski, Matthew Virgilio, Kirill Kudryavtsev, Caleb Van De Ven

FORWARDS (17) – Harrison Ballard, Ethan Montroy, Dalyen Moses, Ty Anselmini, Owen Allard, Keegan McMullen, Landen Hookey, Alex Kostov, Bryce McConnell-Barker, Christopher Brown, Connor Clattenburg, Dustin Good, Justin Cloutier, Marco Mignosa, Tyler Savard, Kalvyn Watson, Jordan D’Intino

Subsequently, twenty-seven other players had either been released, re-assigned or departed camp over the past forty-eight hours. Those players were:

Noah Aboflan, Jax Bellwood, Brendan Boring, Nate Brentnell, Anthony Ciaramitaro, Zackary Corte, Spencer Evans, Austin Fellinger, Marcello Giorgi, Matthew Halushak, Tyler Hodges, Andrew Hopley, Troy Hunka, Caleb Labelle, Gavan Mask, Jackson Mayo, Aiden Nicholson, EJ Paddington, Matthew Prendergast, Evan Roach, Brayden Russell, Mathew Saari, Blair Scott, Owen Shore, Justin Spurrell, Tate Vader, Mitch Webb.

UP NEXT; The Greyhounds will open their 2022 OHL Pre-Season schedule less than twenty-fours from now (Saturday, September 3rd) when they host the Sudbury Wolves.
