Fighting Saints and Dubuque Screw Products Announce One Goal Initiative

October 11, 2022 – United States Hockey League (USHL)Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

Dubuque, IA – The Dubuque Fighting Saints in partnership with Dubuque Screw Products are proud to announce a new initiative called ONE GOAL.

ONE GOAL is a brand new initiative that was created to introduce the Dubuque community to the game of hockey, introduce the sport to those who have not played, instruct current players on the skills of the sport, and to be committed to the ONE GOAL to continue the growth of hockey within our youth community. For every goal the Fighting Saints score during the 2022-23 season, Dubuque Screw Products will be making a monetary donation to the Dubuque Youth Hockey Association (DYHA) in the name of ONE GOAL.

“Dubuque Screw Products takes great pride in the Dubuque community in which we have originated and called home for over 75 years. We participate in supporting charitable efforts as well as organizations that support community growth and spirit,” said Matt Scherr, the President and COO of Dubuque Screw Products. “Introducing youth who may not have had the chance to experience the thrilling sport of hockey and providing further instruction opportunities to those who play aligns with one of our corporate goals, the goal to always provide ongoing training and development of our team. We believe the Dubuque Fighting Saints and Dubuque Youth Hockey Association (DYHA) promote an energy of team excellence and excitement. Dubuque Screw Products looks forward to donating to the DYHA with every goal the Dubuque Fighting Saints score this season and sharing this ONE GOAL sponsorship experience with our employees. Go Saints!”

To date, the Fighting Saints have scored 14 goals through four games of the 2022-23 campaign. They continue their season this Saturday on the road against the Des Moines Buccaneers. Then, on Friday, November 4th, the Fighting Saints return home for the first time this season to take on the Madison Capitols. Tickets can be purchased online.
