Fighters Re-Sign Offensive Lineman Noah Johnson
September 22, 2022 – Indoor Football League (IFL) – Frisco Fighters News Release
FRISCO, Texas – The Frisco Fighters announced today that the team has re-signed offensive lineman Noah Johnson. The 6-foot-2, 340-pound lineman returns to the Fighters for his second season. Johnson helped pave the way for the Fighters offense throughout the season, helping the team to 124 touchdowns over 18 games.
“Noah was a big part of our success on offense last year,” said head coach Billy Back. “He came in last season as an underdog and earned everything every step of the way! He’s a silent assassin, he doesn’t say much but will put his weight on you and put you where he wants you. His character and work ethic is exactly what any team needs.”
Johnson attended the University of Idaho after graduating early and receiving a high school diploma. As a true freshman, Johnson started in 10 games and was named Sun Belt Conference All-Newcomer Team (2016). In 2017, he was named to All-Sun Belt Second Team, starting in 12 games. Johnson’s junior year (2018) was filled with accomplishments, starting in 11 games and being the highest-graded University of Idaho offensive lineman, named HERO Sports All-America Third Team, All-Big Sky First Team and the first offensive line from this University to be named All-American since 2009.
Johnson is a native of Fayetteville, Arkansas and now resides in McKinney, Texas.
The Frisco Fighters return to the field next spring for the 2023 season. Full Squadron Memberships are on sale now. Single-game tickets will be on sale at a later date.
