El Paso Deafeats Albuquerque in 10 Innings

El Paso outfielder Reinaldo Ilarraza’s first Triple-A home run came in the top of the 10th inning of the Chihuahuas’ 9-7 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes Friday night. The victory extended El Paso’s season-long winning streak to seven games and was the team’s eighth win in their last nine tries.
Chihuahuas catcher Brett Sullivan went 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs. El Paso starter Jesse Scholtens pitched two scoreless innings and has allowed only one run in his last seven outings. San Diego Padres reliever Craig Stammen pitched two scoreless innings in his second MLB injury rehab appearance this series with El Paso.
The Chihuahuas led 7-0 in the eighth inning before Albuquerque scored four times in the eighth and three times in the ninth to tie it. El Paso has scored first in all five games of the series. The Chihuahuas are now 8-4 in extra-inning games, while Albuquerque dropped to 3-7. El Paso is 12-2 against Albuquerque this season.
