Portland, Ore. – With the Neely Cup now halfway through, Team Carruth has emerged as the leader thanks to some terrific goaltending from Luke Brunen (who they borrowed from Team Pouliot) and a handful of dazzling goals to wrap up the second day of games.


The four teams, named after Winterhawks alumni Mac Carruth, Nic Petan, Derrick Pouliot, and Ty Rattie, filled with roster hopefuls are competing against one another at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Game format consists of two 22-minute periods, followed by a ten-minute, running clock three-on-three. The winner of each 22-minute game and three-on-three game receives two points in the standings, allowing for a team to pick up a maximum of six points each day.
