Cougars Fall 6-3 to Thunderbirds

KENT, WA – The Seattle Thunderbirds (10-1-0-0) got out to a two-goal lead just over a minute into the first period and never looked back. The Thunderbirds doubled up the Prince George Cougars (6-7-0-0) 6-3 at the accesso ShoWare Center.


The Thunderbirds got a pair of goals 18 seconds apart just over a minute into the game to take an early lead. The Cougars responded with one of their own a few moments later to make it 2-1, but the Thunderbirds were able to restore the lead in the final minutes to go up 3-1 after the opening twenty minutes.

In the second period, the Thunderbirds added to their lead around the midway point to go ahead 4-1 after 40 minutes.

In the final period, Seattle got another early goal to up their lead to 5-1. Prince George was able to respond with two of their own just over three minutes apart, but the T-Birds were able to seal the deal with an empty net goal in the final minute to defeat Prince George 6-3.
