Chiefs Sign 2006 Forward Prospect Cameron Parr
September 9, 2022 – Western Hockey League (WHL) – Spokane Chiefs News Release
Spokane, Wash. – The Spokane Chiefs are proud to announce that prospect Cameron Parr has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement. From La Salle, Manitoba, Parr was selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round (97th overall) of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft in December.
“I’m super excited about my future with this team and organization,” Parr said. “It’s a great place to be and I couldn’t be happier.”
Parr played for Team Tokarski (Red) in this year’s Chiefs Training Camp – his first since being drafted. Team Tokarski won the Chiefs Cup in a 5-2 victory over Team Kidd in Sunday’s Red-White Championship game.
“We are excited that Cam and his family have committed to the Spokane Chiefs organization,” Chiefs General Manager Matt Bardsley said. “He had a strong and consistent training camp last week. His combination of skating, skill and compete left a strong impression with our staff and we are excited that he will be a key contributor to our future.”
The 16-year-old winger posted 11 goals and 26 assists for 37 points with the Pembina Valley Hawks (MU18HL) in 38 games last season.
