Amann Named Player of the Week

WINDSOR, Colo. – Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC forward Trevor Amann has been named the USL League One Player of the Week for Week 23. Forward Lachlan McLean has been named to the Team of the Week as well.
In Saturday’s 4-1 win over North Carolina FC, Amann scored a hat trick, with McLean adding a goal. It is the first hat trick in Amann’s career and the first in club history.
The Colorado native scored his first goal in the 31st minute on a long ball from McLean. Taking the keeper one-on-one, Amann passed the ball into the net to make it 2-0.
Amann grabbed his second goal on a rebound from a McLean shot. The goalkeeper saved McLean’s shot but sent the rebound straight to Amann. Amann fired into the empty net, making it 3-0.
He completed the hat trick on a penalty kick in the 79th minute. The keeper guessed the correct direction but couldn’t deny Amann of his third goal.
Amann is the first Northern Colorado player awarded Player of the Week. It is McLean’s first time being named to a Team of the Week.

The team is back in action Saturday, September 10, when they face South Georgia Tormenta FC at 7:30 p.m. EDT at Erk Russell Athletic Park in Statesboro, Georgia.
