15s and 17s Best Another from MLS

For the second consecutive week, Sacramento’s U15 and U17 squads faced off with an MLS-affiliated opponent, their counterparts from Canadian side Vancouver Whitecaps FC. U15 forward Chance Cowell led the way for his side all weekend, netting six scores in two matches. A first half brace helped lead the U15s to a win over Vancouver Saturday, before he netted four scores Sunday in a blowout win against SF Glens that also featured a brace from Landon Robertson.

After drawing Seattle Sounders last week, Sacramento’s U17s claimed their first win over an MLS-affiliated foe for the season with a 4-1 win over Vancouver. Paired with a 4-0 clean sheet victory Sunday, the side has gone three straight without a defeat to rebound from a tough pair of matches against Ballistic United on September 18 and 24.

13s and 14s Stay at Top of Table

On the weekend, the two teams outscored their opponents 33-2 headlined by a staggering Saturday that saw the U13s best Sheriffs FC 14-0 behind scores from seven different players, and the U14s emerge victorious 9-1. Sunday, each side took three points again to move to a perfect 4-0 on the season. Two wins apiece for each squad firmly kept them both at the top of their respective divisions, tied with San Jose Earthquakes – who they’ll each meet up with in a week’s time.
