A “Generally” Tough Friday

Niagara, ON – The IceDogs fell behind 3-0 in the opening period and were never able to make up the difference, falling 6-3 to the visiting Oshawa Generals.
Juan Copeland cut into the lead at 8:17 of the second with help from Brenden Sirizzotti and Pasquale Zito. Two more Oshawa tallies would make the score, Oshawa 5, IceDogs 1 after two, in a period where the IceDogs recorded 14 of the 26 shots on goal.
In the third, David Jesus and Nathan Ribau would draw assists on the first of the year for Pano Fimis at 8:16. After the Generals once again made it a four goal bulge, Declan Waddick closed out the scoring with 1:11 left off of a nice feed from Aidan Castle.
The next challenge for Daniel Fitzgerald’s team is a visit from CHL ranked Guelph Storm tomorrow night. Puck drop at the Meridian Centre happens at 7pm.
