VICENTE REYES
Eighteen-year-old goalkeeper Vicente Reyes has already broken a club record once this season and is looking to do so once again before the curtain closes on the 2022 campaign.
The Academy product made 10 saves on July 17 against San Antonio FC, surpassing the previous record of nine established by current First Team goalkeeper Dylan Castanheira in 2019; Reyes would make 10 saves once again on Aug. 21 against Loudoun United.
Reyes, recently called up by Chile’s U-20 national team, is also 13 saves away from breaking Castanheira’s single-season save record of 84 also set in 2019.
INDY ELEVEN IN 2022
Indy Eleven, currently sitting in ninth place in the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference, has been eliminated from playoff contention but continues to fight hard until the very end.
Mark Lowry’s side has won four of its last six matches, including victories over Western Conference leader San Antonio and Eastern Conference leader Louisville City FC.
In the two clubs’ previous meeting, Indy Eleven took all three points against Atlanta with a stoppage-time winner from Aris Briggs.
