Orlando City Forward Jack Lynn Named to MLS NEXT Pro Best XI

ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 23, 2022) – Orlando City forward Jack Lynn has been named to the inaugural MLS NEXT Pro Best XI, it was announced today, with the league’s debut regular season concluding this past weekend.
Lynn, 22, featured 18 times for Orlando City B over the course of the campaign, 17 of which were starts, finishing as the Lions’ top goal-scorer with 15 finishes in 2022 with four assists to add. The Notre Dame-product’s 15 goals finished third across MLS NEXT Pro, trailing only Columbus’ Jacen Russell-Rowe (21) and North Texas SC forward Bernard Kamungo (16).
Scoring a brace in his professional debut to open the MLS NEXT Pro campaign on March 26 against Chicago Fire II, Lynn would go on to record four multi-goal performances on the year, including a hat trick against intrastate foes Inter Miami II on May 21. Of his 15 goals in 2022, three would serve as game-winners, leading the Lions in deciding finishes this season.
Selected by the Lions at No. 18 overall at the 2022 MLS SuperDraft out of South Bend, Lynn earned his First Team debut on April 24 against the New York Red Bulls, entering in the second half and would go on to appear three times in MLS over the course of the year. Earlier this month, Lynn was loaned out to San Antonio FC for the remainder of the USL Championship season.
