Oil Kings Place Three Players on LTIR

Edmonton, AB – The Edmonton Oil Kings have updated the injury status of four players ahead of the start of their regular season schedule.
The following players have been placed on Long-Term Injury Reserve:
F Jakub Demek, upper-body
F Tyler Horstmann, upper-body
D Graydon Gotaas, lower-body
Demek, 19, is entering his second season with the club and is recovering from off-season surgery, he will be out indefinitely.
Horstmann, 20, is entering his fourth season with the club and is recovering from off-season surgery, he will be out indefinitely.
Gotaas, 18, is entering his second season with the club and is still recovering from an injury and subsequent surgery that occurred last season, he is considered week-to-week.
In addition, the following players will not be available for the Oil Kings home opener on Friday, September 23:
F Jaxsen Wiebe, upper-body, week-to-week
D Bryson Andregg, suspension, one game remaining
F Dylan Guenther, attending Arizona Coyotes training camp
The Edmonton Oil Kings next home game is their regular season and home opener against the Red Deer Rebels on Friday, September 23 when they will raise their 2021-22 WHL Championship banner to the Rogers Place rafters.
