Rattlers Re-Sign WR Isaiah Huston and DB Jacobi Taylor

PHOENIX – The Arizona Rattlers brought back a pair of key contributors for the 2023 season, re-signing local products Isaiah Huston and Jacobi Taylor. WR Isaiah Huston (5’11”, 185, Arizona Christian University) will return for his third season in the IFL after originally earning the opportunity through participating in the Rattlers’ open tryouts in February of 2020.


The local product finished the season with 31 receptions and 311 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns in 11 games played. He also had 21 yards rushing on 3 attempts.

As a kick returner, Huston tallied 290 yards in 14 attempts, good for 24.2 yards per return which was the second highest in the IFL.

Huston played two years at Phoenix College and was a preseason NAIA All-American, before transferring to Arizona Christian University. As a member of the Firestorm, he played in 12 games over two years, starting in three, with 44 catches for 681 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Anthem, Arizona native played both wide receiver and defensive back at Boulder Creek High School. During the 2012 football season, he was selected to the Arizona All-State Team as an Honorable Mention Athlete and All-Purpose Player by both Scout.com and The Arizona Republic.

DB Jacobi Taylor (5’11”, 185, Arizona State) appeared in five games for the Rattlers during his rookie campaign, and he is set to return for his second season in the IFL.

Taylor recorded 16.5 total tackles (11 solo, 5.5 assisted) in the five games he appeared in during the 2022 season for the Rattlers. He was a part of one of the most impactful defensive back groups in the IFL last season. The Peoria, AZ native played at Arizona State in 2017, where he spent time at cornerback and on special teams. He registered two tackles and two pass breakups during his time as a Sun Devil.

Prior to playing at Arizona State, Taylor attended North Central College where he played cornerback and special teams. In high school, he played defensive back for Mountain Ridge and also participated on the track and field team.
