Try New Party Town Pils
September 20, 2022 – United States Hockey League (USHL) – Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Waterloo, Iowa – SingleSpeed Brewing and the Waterloo Black Hawks are working together on a new beer to celebrate the Cedar Valley’s hockey team, and fans will have their first chance to taste Party Town Pils on Friday, September 30th at the SingleSpeed Waterloo Taproom.
In the winter of 2021/22, SingleSpeed and the Hawks worked together on Season Sixty, a well-regarded limited release to celebrate Waterloo’s deep hockey roots. An enthusiastic response prompted the new collaboration in time for the 2022/23 hockey season.
“Black Hawks fans and SingleSpeed fans both really enjoyed Season Sixty, so it was natural to get together with our friends from across 1st Street once again,” said Black Hawks President of Business Operations Joe Greene. “I’ve gotten the chance to try Party Town Pils, and I think a lot of our fans will want to be at SingleSpeed next week to taste it for themselves.”
The Party Town Pils debut event will be from 5 to 6p.m. on September 30th. Black Hawks coaches and staff will be in attendance to celebrate the new brew, and fans at the event will have the opportunity to win prizes from the team. SingleSpeed’s Waterloo Taproom is at 325 Commercial Street, just two blocks east from Young Arena.
An American Pilsner, Party Town Pils is a 4.5% alcohol by volume beverage for those age 21 and over. On each can, SingleSpeed notes the common values shared with the Black Hawks – Passion, Integrity, Discipline – explaining, “When striving for excellence, whether it be on the brewhouse floor or a sheet of ice, these are pillars of success. We take the creation of each batch of beer just as seriously as the Black Hawks take their annual quest for the Clark Cup.”
Throughout the season, Party Town Pils will be available to fans attending games at Young Arena, as well as from select Cedar Valley craft beverage retailers. At the rink, it will be served in 12 ounce cans for $5 apiece.
The Black Hawks play their first home game of the 2022/23 season on Saturday, October 8th against the Tri-City Storm at 6:05 p.m. Tickets for the home opener and all other regular season games are on sale now from tickets.waterlooblackhawks.com.
