The Hangar will be rocking this Saturday night.

The Moose Jaw Warriors are preparing to kick off the 2022-23 Western Hockey League season with a bang when they host the rival Regina Pats for the home opener at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

“We’re really looking forward to kicking off the season this weekend against the Regina Pats. The rivalry is one of the best in the WHL and it makes for a great atmosphere in the arena,” Warriors director of business operations Jaret Schneider said.

There are plenty of pre-game festivities planned for the night, starting with a performance on the concourse by rising country music artist Jordyn Pollard.

The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for fans to take in the pre-game concert.

“I’ve heard around the community how excited people are for this team and the WHL to be back again and I know the Moose Jaw Events Centre will be rocking come Saturday night,” Schneider said.

While enjoying the concert, fans will also be able to take advantage of happy hour pricing at concessions 2 and 4 with a cheeseburger and Original 16 draft beer for $10 or a hotdog and small pop for $5.

The pre-game festivities continue onto the ice.

Make sure to be in your seats early for a special pre-game ceremony to unveil the Warriors’ new look and the 2022-23 roster.

Single game tickets are available at mjwarriors.ca and the Moose Jaw Events Centre Box Office.

Fans can still pickup 2022-23 season tickets by heading to the Warriors’ office and if you purchase before Oct. 1, you will save on PST.

The Warriors and Pats face-off on Friday night in Regina and then finish off the home-and-home set on Saturday in downtown Moose Jaw. Puck drops at 7 p.m.
