Orlando City Hosts Toronto FC on Saturday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City SC (12-12-6, 42 points) closes out a two-game home stint as it hosts Toronto FC (9-15-7, 34 points) on Saturday, Sept. 17 at Exploria Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
The match, presented by Publix, is set to be locally televised on FOX35 PLUS and LionNation TV, while being transmitted on Real Radio 104.1 in English and Acción 97.9 in Spanish. Tickets for Saturday’s match are available here or by calling (855) ORL-CITY.
The Lion’s will look to continue their winning ways against Toronto after previously beating them 1-0 in Canada earlier this season. Orlando led in nearly every stat tracked, with neither side finding the back of the net until two minutes into stoppage time when Kyle Smith got his head on a corner kick to grab all three points for the Lions.
City comes into the weekend following a midweek loss to Atlanta United. Both sides went into the break scoreless, however an eventual game-winner from Atlanta’s Thiago Almada decided the match in favor of the visitors.
Ercan Kara and Facundo Torres sit tied for the team lead in finishes for the Lions with 10 apiece across all competitions this campaign, while Torres also leads the side in assists with 11 to his credit.
The Reds enter the match following a 4-2 loss in Atlanta last Saturday. The two sides were scoreless at the half, but both found the back of the net inside of 10 minutes after the break. The two sides went back and forth once more in the 62nd and 67th minutes, respectively, before Atlanta scored two unanswered in the 74th and 88th to decide the match in their favor.
Jesús Jiménez and Jonathan Osorio lead the Reds with nine goals apiece this campaign with Osorio also holding the team-high in assists with six to his credit.
Saturday night’s match will serve as Hispanic Heritage night at Exploria Stadium. Spanish-based music will be pumping through the speakers along with a guest PA announcer and in-game host who will serve as Spanish announcers on the night. Peru, Colombia, Argentina and Uruguay, which are all countries represented by players on the City roster, will also be well recognized and well-represented throughout the night.
Following Saturday’s match, the Lions will enter a week off from match play before traveling to Red Bull Arena to take on New York City FC on Sunday, Oct. 2. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
