Lookouts Overcome Deficit in 5-3 Win
September 15, 2022 – Southern League (SL) – Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
The Chattanooga Lookouts scored three runs in the sixth innings en route to a 5-3 win over the Smokies.
Chattanooga found themselves down 3-1 entering the bottom of the sixth inning. A leadoff walk by James Free and a single by Garrett Wolforth put runners on first and third for Quincy McAfee. A sacrifice fly James Free put the Lookouts within one. After two straight walks, Chrisitan Encarnacion -Strand smacked a single to drive home two runs and give the Lookouts the 4-3 lead.
The home team added an insurance run on a Rece Hinds RBI double in the eighth. Up 5-3, Evan Kravetz slammed the door to earn his first career Double-A save. Connor Curlis earned the win with 1.1 scoreless innings.
In the loss, Smokies outfielder Cole Roederer hit his eighth homer of the year.
Tomorrow is MEGA Fireworks presented by Hill & Hill Financial. Game time is set for 7:15 p.m.
