Tri-City to Face off against Omaha in Preseason Finale

RALSTON, NE. – The Tri-City Storm will face off tonight against in-state rival Omaha in the team’s final game of the 2022-2023 preseason schedule. The Storm dropped a road contest against the Lincoln Stars earlier this week to fall to 2-2-0-0 in the exhibition schedule. Tonight’s game between the Tri-City Storm and Omaha Lancers will be played at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena and is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm CT.


Tri-City (2-2-0-0) hits the ice tonight for the final time in the preseason after dropping back-to-back exhibition games. The Storm began the preseason with consecutive wins over the Waterloo Black Hawks and Des Moines Buccaneers at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, IA in the 2022 USHL West Preseason Showcase event hosted by the Sioux City Musketeers. Tri-City’s two most recent games included losses to the Fargo Force and Lincoln Stars. Goal scorers for the Storm entering the final game of this year’s five-game exhibition schedule include Cameron O’Neill (3), Daimon Gardner (2), Artemi Nizameyev (2), Sebastian Törnqvist (2), Brock James (2), Philipp Blais-Savoie (1), Alexander Palchik (1), Nick Roukounakis (1), and David Sacco (1). Sebastian Wraneschitz and Karlis Mezsargs have each posted a win in net for the Storm during the opening four games of the exhibition schedule.

Omaha (0-3-0-0) seeks a preseason victory over the Storm after dropping all three games played last weekend at the USHL West Preseason Showcase. The Lancers dropped games to the Sioux Falls Stampede, Sioux City Musketeers, and Des Moines Buccaneers in the event. Omaha will conclude preseason play with three consecutive games against the Storm and Lincoln Stars. The Lancers will travel to the Ice Box tomorrow night and host the Stars at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena on Saturday. Omaha won three of ten regular season games played against the Storm last season. Goal scorers for the Lancers entering tonight’s home game against the Storm include Braydon Beahm (1), Alex Bump (1), Evan Werner (1), and Nate Benoit (1). Ben Behrens, Michael Hrabal, and Claudio Ardellini have each shared time in goal during the preseason for Omaha.

Individual game tickets, including tickets to the Storm’s Home Opener at the Viaero Center on September 30th against the Omaha Lancers, are also available for purchase.
