September 15, 2022 – United States Hockey League (USHL)Fargo Force News Release

The Force defeated the BCHL’s Wenatchee Wild 7-4 in a preseason battle Wednesday night.

Fargo rattled off 4 goals in the first period. Boris Skalos struck first with a nice goal off a pass from Anthony Menghini. Bret Link quickly followed up Skalos’ goal with a snipe of his own, making it 2-0 Force.

Noah Eyre continued his stellar preseason with another goal to put Fargo up by three. The first period ended 4-0 Force, courtesy of a tally from Force defenseman, Leo Gruba.

Bret Link kicked off the middle period with his second goal of the night to make it 5-0. Wenatchee fired back, scoring three unanswered goals, but Noah Eyre fired his second of the game into the back of the net, giving the Force a three-goal lead once more going into the final period.

A Wild goal early in the third cut the lead to two once again but Anthony Menghini fired right back making it 7-4, finishing off the scoring in a back-and-forth game as the Force took home their 3rd win of the preseason.

Nolan Suggs was perfect in his time between the pipes, saving each shot he faced. Matej Mironov followed that up helping secure the Force win.

The Force are back at him this Saturday and Sunday, both games being played at the Farmers Union Insurance Arena, adjacent to Scheels Arena. All Force preseason home games are free and open to the public!
