
Timbers2 Fall 4-2 to MNUFC2

HILLSBORO, Ore. – Timbers2 rallied from an early deficit to level the match at 2-2, but MNUFC scored a pair of goals late in the second half as Portland fell 4-2 at Hillsboro Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Timbers2 will play its final home game of the campaign on Wednesday at Providence Park against Whitecaps FC 2 before concluding the season on the road against the Tacoma Defiance on Sept. 18.
Timbers2 trailed 2-0 after the opening 22 minutes, but Nathan Fogaça pulled a goal back in first-half stoppage time to cut the deficit to just one goal at the halftime break. Ismalia Jome finished the match with a goal and an assist, tallying his goal to level the match in the 77th minute. Portland played the final eight minutes plus stoppage time down a player after Pablo Bonilla was sent off and MNUFC2 tallied a pair of goals to secure the win.

MIN – Tani Oluwaseyi (Nicholas Mendonca), 19th minute: Nicholas Mendoca played a long ball in behind the Timbers2 backline for Tani Oluwaseyi, who settled the ball at the edge of the box before firing a shot just under the crossbar.
MIN- Aziel Jackson (Diogo Pacheco), 22nd minute: Diogo Pacheco whipped in a corner kick toward the near post for Aziel Jackson, who redirected the ball with a flicked-on header into the back of the net.
POR – Nathan Fogaça (Ismalia Jome), 45+2 minute: Off a throw-in, Isamali Jome controlled the ball at the top of the box and played a short pass to Nathan Fogaça inside the box on the left side. Fogaça delivered a low, hard curling strike into the bottom right corner of the goal.
POR – Ismalia Jome (Selmir Miscic), 77th minute: Playing down the left side, Selmir Miscic cut back toward the middle of the field and played well-timed ball in behind the MNUFC2 backline into space. Ismalia Jome continued his run into the box and sent a precise left-footed shot past the onrushing MNUFC2 goalkeeper into the net.
MIN – Nabilai Kibunguchy, 87th minute: Off a corner kick, the ball was flicked on by a Timbers2 player, buy Nabilai Kibunguchy redirected the ball with a header inside the left post.
MIN – Loïc Mesanvi (Thomas Williamson), 90+3 minute: Thomas Williamson played the ball to Loïc Mesanvi near the right corner of the six-yard box. Mesanvi chipped the ball over the top and just inside the left post.
