Gamblers Welcome Back Chris Mehring

The Green Bay Gamblers announced on Tuesday, that Chris Mehring will serve as the team’s play-by-play announcer for the 2022-23 season. All home games can be heard on FloHockey, a live streaming internet service.

Mehring is a Waterford, Wisconsin native and a product of both the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He worked as the play-by-play announcer and Director of Media Relations for the Gamblers from 1998-2003 and has been the play-by-play announcer for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers since 2000.

“The Gamblers are the team that gave me my start in announcing sports in Northeastern Wisconsin and everything that I have been able to do since is because they hired me for the 1998 season,” said Mehring. “When Jeff Mitchell called to ask me if I was interested in coming back to be their broadcaster, I jumped at the chance to return to the Resch Center.”
