“We had the chance to watch him a lot last year with the Contacts here in Saskatoon and feel like Morgan is a defender that has significant long-term ceiling,” said Blades director of scouting, Dan Tencer. “He only has a couple of years of high-level hockey under his belt and his development has been continuously noticeable throughout that time. He had an excellent off-season and impressed throughout our training camp, demonstrating a real poise and intelligence to his game on top of his immense size and range,” continued Tencer. “We’re grateful to Morgan and the Tastad family for choosing the Blades program and the WHL as the right spot for his development.”

The 6’4 left shooting defender from Loreburn, SK, spent last season with the Saskatoon Contacts U18 AAA in the SMAAAHL where he collected 10 points (2G-8A) in 43 games.

The Saskatoon Blades are thrilled to welcome Morgan and his family to the organization.
