Pats Ink Defenceman Plaiser

Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce the signing of 2005-born defenceman Ty Plaiser to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
Plaiser, 17, recorded 26 points (9G-17A) in 44 games in 2021-22 with the Southwest Cougars U18 AAA team. The Virden, Man. product stands at 6-foot-2, 187 lb. and was drafted by the Pats in the fourth-round (74th overall) of the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft.
“He’s a very competitive guy, who really wants to play in our league [WHL], and for the Pats,” Regina Pats GM and Head Coach John Paddock said. “We like a lot of his attributes. He plays very hard, he’s a little bit stronger from last year, quicker and more experienced. He’s taken a step, and now we will see how it translates.”
The Pats are excited to welcome Ty and his family to the organization, and would like to give him a warm welcome to the City of Regina.
A reminder, the Regina Pats will have five pre-season games before their home opener against the Moose Jaw Warriors on September 23. The Pats begin their pre-season schedule tonight in Prince Albert before coming home on Saturday, September 10 to complete their home-and-home against the Raiders inside the Brandt Centre.
The Pats will then take on the Swift Current Broncos in Estevan, Sask. at Affinity Place on September 13 before wrapping up their pre-season schedule on September 15 and 17 against the Winnipeg ICE. To purchase your pre-season tickets, CLICK HERE.
