Oil Kings Announce 2022-23 Promotional Schedule

Edmonton, AB – The Edmonton Oil Kings are excited to reveal 11 theme games as part of their promotional schedule for the 2022-23 regular season.

Headlining the promotional schedule once again will be the Oil Kings 15th annual Teddy Bear Toss presented by The Brick on Saturday, December 10 against the Red Deer Rebels.


Cartoon Festival will also return for a third season along with several other fan favorites:

Home Opener and Championship Banner Raising Ceremony – Friday, September 23 vs. Red Deer Rebels – 7:00 PM

Cartoon Festival- Friday, October 28 vs. Calgary Hitmen – 7:00 PM

United Against Cancer – Friday, November 18 vs. Brandon Wheat Kings – 7:00 PM

Teddy Bear Toss – Saturday, December 10 vs. Red Deer Rebels* – 7:00 PM

New Year’s Fireworks Frenzy – Sunday, January 1 vs. Lethbridge Hurricanes – 2:00 PM

Pride Night – Friday, February 3 vs. Moose Jaw Warriors – 7:00 PM

Family Day – Monday, February 20 vs. Kamloops Blazers – 2:00 PM

Hockey Hooky – Tuesday, February 28 vs. Winnipeg ICE – 11:00 AM

Superhero Night – Saturday, March 4 vs. Swift Current Broncos* – 7:00 PM

Fan Appreciation Night – Saturday, March 18 vs. Lethbridge Hurricanes – 7:00 PM

Team Awards – Saturday, March 25 vs. Calgary Hitmen – 2:00 PM

*Specialty jersey to be worn

Family Fun Sundays will return to Rogers Place for Sunday afternoon home games featuring the concourse carnival starting Sunday, October 23 vs. the Saskatoon Blades and ending Sunday, February 26 vs. the Winnipeg ICE. All Sunday games are scheduled for 4:00 PM starts except for Sunday, January 1 when the Oil Kings host the Lethbridge Hurricanes at 2:00 PM.
