Players to Watch
North Carolina FC – #9 Oalex Anderson
A spark plug in NCFC’s most recent match against Northern Colorado Hailstorm, Anderson drew a penalty kick to rid the Hailstorm of the shutout and created several scoring chances as a second half substitute. The striker’s quick footwork, ability to beat defenders, and speed on and off the ball combine to make Anderson one of NCFC’s best attacking players. With five goals on the season, the St. Vincent and the Grenadines international will look to add his name to the scoresheet for a sixth time as NCFC strives for three points in Saturday’s matchup against Central Valley Fuego.
Central Valley Fuego FC – #8 Victor Falck
Scoring a goal in Fuego’s thrilling 3-2 win over FC Tucson last Wednesday, Falck continues to impress in Central Valley’s midfield. The Swedish footballer has recorded 83.7% passing accuracy, 14 shots on target and 58.3% shooting accuracy through 21 matches played, tallying six goals on the season. As Central Valley aims to move up the table with a victory on Friday, Falck will be a key contributor to the Fuego offense as they travel to face NCFC at their home stadium.
Up Next: North Carolina FC will travel to face Forward Madison FC for the third and final time this season on Saturday, September 17 at Breese Stevens Field in Madison, WI at 6 p.m. ET. The match will be available to stream on ESPN+.
