Acklin, Mauldin Named CFL Top Performers for Week 13

OTTAWA-GATINEAU – A pair of Ottawa REDBLACKS have been listed among the CFL Top Performers for Week 13; with receiver Jaelon Acklin, and defensive lineman Lorenzo Mauldin IV earning the nod for their respective performances.

During the REDBLACKS’ 38-24 road victory over the Montreal Alouettes, Saturday night, Acklin set a new single-game career high in receiving yards for the second time this season. The Mountain View, Missouri native hauled in seven catches for 159 yards, pulling into the CFL lead with 963 receiving yards on the campaign.

Acklin, 27, was previously named among the CFL’s Top Performers for the month of July.

Mauldin, 29, is enjoying a breakout campaign for the REDBLACKS, and receives Top Performer honours for the first time in his career. The Sacramento, California product recorded two sacks, and five defensive tackles over the Alouettes, taking sole possession of the CFL sack lead, with 10.
