The Tri-City Americans came from behind and defeated the Brandon Wheat Kings last night 4-3 in overtime. Lukas Dragicevic was Tri-City’s hero, recording the second overtime goal of his career. Tri-City has now been victorious in their last six visits to Brandon.

Adam Mechura opened scoring to give Tri-City a 1-0 lead. Brandon then followed with 3 straight and held a 3-1 lead in the final period. Jake Sloan and Ethan Ernst scored to tie the game for the Americans and send the game to overtime. A double boarding penalty on Brandon gave Tri-City a 3 minute power play in overtime, which Lukas Dragicevic capitalized on for tonight’s game-winning goal. With a goal and an assist last night, Dragicevic stands alone as the points leader among WHL defensemen. He’s on a 9 game point streak with 3 goals and 9 assists over that period.
