Wings Tender Seven Players for 2023-24 Season

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are proud to announce the tender signings of seven players ahead of the 2023-24 hockey season.
Michael McIntee
McIntee, a 5’11” defenseman from De Pere, WI, is currently playing for Team Wisconsin in the UMHSEHL, where he’s notched a goal and six assists in 19 games so far this season. Last season, he played for Team Wisconsin’s 16U AAA team, where he recorded two goals and 15 assists in 33 games played.
McIntee also played for Notre Dame Academy for three seasons, putting up six goals and 36 assists in 60 games played.
“Michael is another solid skating, defensive defenseman,” Wings head coach Scott Langer said. “He’s a good “first pass” defender from Notre Dame Academy. He also had a solid fall season, playing in the MN Elite League. He’ll bring a strong blue line
presence and good stability in the Wings’ D-Zone.”
Jordan Ronn
Ronn spent two seasons playing for Champlin Park High, where he notched 27 goals and 32 assists in 46 games. He also spent time with the Minnesota Blades 16U AAA team, where he recored 18 goals and 16 assists in in 22 games.
The 5’10” forward is currently playing for Team Twin Cities Orthopedics, where he notched five goals and 14 assists in 20 games played.
“Jordan will bring some scoring touch and toughness as a slick skating, skilled forward,” Langer said. “He finished the MN Elite League with five goals and 14 assists this fall. He’s a fast, 200-foot player, with good vision and a good nose for offense.”
Grant Winkler
Winkler, a 5’10” defenseman from Duluth, MN, notched nine goals and eight assists while playing for Team Kowalski’s in the 2022-23 season.
He also played for Duluth East High School, where he scored nine goals and added 13 assists over four seasons.
“Winkler is a strong skating defender from Duluth East HS in Minnesota,” Langer said. “He plays a very tight defensive game and is a very versatile, smart, puck-moving player, with great vision and a good nose for offensive play. He finished with nine goals and eight assists in the very competitive MN Elite League.”
Lawson Kimble
A 5’11” defenseman from Granite City, IL, Kimble has spent the past five seasons representing CarShield AAA squads. Most recently, he notched four goals for the 18U AAA team in just nine games played.
He was also a major standout for Granite City High, where he notched 111 total points during his 2021-22 season.
“Kimble has the ability to control the tempo of a game,” Langer said. “He is a steady presence on the blue line when he’s on the ice . One of his best attributes is his ability to make a first fast out of the zone. He is a 2-way defenseman that contributes both offensively and defensively throughout a game.”
Jackson Vogel
Vogel spent three years playing for Shakopee High School in Minnesota, recording 30 goals and 38 assists over those three seasons.
Most recently, the 6’0â³ forward spent time with Team TDS Transportation in the MN Elite League. In the 2022-23 season, he picked up three goals and four assists in 13 games played.
“Vogel is another quick-footed and skilled forward,” Langer said. “He scored 18 goals and 20 assists, for his high school team last season and has amassed four goals and nine helpers in just two seasons of the MN Elite League. He’s a sharp shooting and fast forechecking forward who creates plays very fast.”
Holden Pratt
Pratt spent four solid seasons with his high school team, Grandville High, where he recorded 23 goals and added 42 assists during his tenure. In the 2022-23 season, the 6’3â³ defenseman is rostered with the Minnesota Loons in the NA3HL, where he’s scored five goals and eight assists in 13 games so far this season. He’s also appeared in two games wearing the Wings’ sweater.
“Pratt is a defenseman that makes good decisions under pressure,” Langer said. “He is a good sized kid that has physicality to his game. Pratt has seen time as an affiliate player with the Aberdeen Wings and has slid into the lineup well.”
Chase Hannon
Hannon has spent the past two seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers 18U AAA club, where he’s recorded eight goals and 23 assists. The 5’11” defenseman also spent time with La Salle College High in 2021-22, where he grabbed a goal and nine assists in 17 games played.
“Hannon is a very sound defenseman that possess good vision to make the right plays,” Langer said. “He is a physical player that is not afraid to play the tough game. He has good feet, which allows him to get out of any situations where he is under pressure, and he has the ability to score from the blue line, which makes him an element of the offense as well.”
