OTTAWA – A pair of Ottawa REDBLACKS earned CFL East Division All-Star honours, today; with receiver Jaelon Acklin, and defensive lineman Lorenzo Mauldin IV being named to the 2022 iteration of the team.

Acklin, 27, put forth the best season of his CFL career, in his first with the REDBLACKS. Mauldin, 30, also enjoyed a career year in 2022. The Sacramento, California product finished the year as CFL sack leader, with 17, and breaking the REDBLACKS’ previous single-season record of 12, set by Justin Capicciotti in 2015. Appearing in all 18 games, Mauldin also recorded 43 defensive tackles, and a pair of forced fumbles, en route to being named East Division finalist for 2022’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player.
