Mykeal White Returns to the Sharks

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Sharks announce the signing of offensive / defensive lineman Mykeal White, who signs with the Sharks for his second season of arena football and second year with the Jacksonville Sharks.
Mykeal White (6’3, 290) spent his rookie season with the Sharks in 2022 where he was a starting offensive and defensive lineman. White’s season was cut short due to a shoulder injury on the road against the Carolina Cobras early in the season. Prior to his injury White played in three games for the Sharks making four tackles. On offense White and the offensive line helped the Sharks to three rushing touchdowns and only allowed four total sacks in three games. During his rookie season, Mykeal White was in training camp with the Green Bay Blizzard of the Indoor Football League (IFL).
“I thought Mykeal was one of the most explosive players on the Sharks last year but his season was cut short with injury. He will be a dominant player on both sides of the ball.” Stated Sharks head coach Jason Gibson.
White began his college career at Riverside Community College in 2018. As a freshman he played in nine games recording 20 tackles and 1 sack. The RCC Tigers finished the season 10-2, with a Southern California regional playoff victory and earned an appearance in the CCCAA Southern California Championship game. In 2019, he transferred to Southern Utah University, a Division I (FCS) school in Cedar City, UT where he spent the remainder of his college career at SUU. As a Thunderbird, White played 13 games where he made 32 tackles and 4.5 sacks during his career at Southern Utah.
Mykeal White is a native of Lynwood, California where he played high school football at Lynnwood High School. In his junior year White played 7 games for the Knights. Where he recorded two solo tackles and 14 assists. White would play 10 games in his senior year and achieve 27 solo tackles, 32 assists, six sacks, and earned Defensive Player of the Game honors.
