Storm Set to Host Stars for Halloween Game

KEARNEY, NE. – The Tri-City Storm is set to host the Lincoln Stars tonight at the Viaero Center in Kearney for the team’s “Halloween Night” promotional game. Ticket specials to tonight’s game include a rivalry game four-pack, presented by the Nebraska Lottery. The ticket deal includes four tickets to tonight’s matchup between the Storm and the Stars, four hot dogs, four sodas, and two Nebraska Lottery Scratch Off Tickets for only $40! The Tri-City Storm and the Viaero Center will also host a postgame skate for fans on the ice following the game. Fans wishing to participate in the postgame skate must have a valid ticket to tonight’s rivalry game at the Viaero Center. Tickets to tonight’s game are still available, and may be purchased by calling the Viaero Center Box Office at 308-338-8144, or by visiting the official team website, www.StormHockey.com! Puck drop for tonight’s game at the Viaero Center is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.


Tri-City (3-5-0-0) seeks to snap a five-game losing streak in tonight’s home game against Lincoln. The Storm opened the 2022-2023 regular season by collecting three consecutive victories, including two at the 2022 USHL Fall Classic in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Last week, the Storm dropped back-to-back road games to the Fargo Force and Sioux City Musketeers. Scoring leaders for Tri-City entering tonight’s home game at the Viaero Center include Kieran Cebrian (4), Graham Gamache (3), Sebastian Törnqvist (3), Tanner Adams (2), and Trevor Connelly (2). The Storm dropped the opening two games of this year’s thirteen-game series between the Storm and the Stars by a final score of 6-3 at the Ice Box on October 14th, and also by a final score of 6-3 at the Viaero Center on October 15th. Tri-City will travel to Scheels Arena to face the Fargo Force for back-to-back road games on Thursday and Friday following tonight’s home matchup against the Stars. Tonight’s home game is the only game of the weekend for the Storm.

Lincoln (6-2-0-0) dropped a 4-1 road decision to the Omaha Lancers last night, but continues to lead the USHL’s Western Conference standings through the opening eight games of the 2022-2023 regular season. Doug Grimes netted his team-leading fifth goal of the season in last night’s rivalry matchup. Keaton Peters has also netted five goals this season, and is tied for the team scoring lead with Grimes. Other leading scorers for the Stars include Tanner Ludtke (4), Mason Marcellus (3), and Brennan Ali (3). Lincoln has outscored opponents 35-18 through the opening eight games of the season. Following tonight’s road game against the Storm at the Viaero Center, the Stars will return to action next weekend with back-to-back games against the Omaha Lancers and Sioux City Musketeers. The game against the Lancers will be played on Friday at the Ice Box, and Saturday’s game against the Musketeers will be played in Sioux City.
