Barnstormers Add Defensive Lineman

DES MOINES – The Iowa Barnstormers have signed defensive lineman Carl Igweh to the 2023 roster, Head Coach Dave Mogensen announced today.
Igweh (6-4, 265, Frostburg State) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Collegiately, Igweh spent four years at Frostburg State University. During his time with the Bobcats, Igweh appeared in 36 games collecting 95 total tackles, 52.5 tackles for loss, 37 sacks, and eight forced fumbles. Igweh also earned Second-Team Alll-MEC honors his sophomore year and First-Team All-MEC Honors his junior year.
“Carl had a tremendous career at Frostburg State where he garnered a lot of NFL interest last spring,” said Head Coach Mogensen. “We expect Carl to be an impact player for us right away along the defensive line.”
Igweh will enter the 2023 Iowa Barnstormers Training Camp in the Spring.
