FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution II (9-9-4; 32 pts.) defeated Orlando City B (6-11-5; 25 pts.), 2-0, on Friday night at Gillette Stadium. Revolution Academy goalkeeper Max Weinstein made two saves en route to his second career clean sheet. Academy forward Malcolm Fry and defender Ítalo each scored their first professional goals to seal New England’s ninth victory and seventh shutout of the season.
Revolution II recorded four shots on goal in the half as Fry broke through in the 40th minute, capitalizing on a cross from Marcos Dias to secure his first professional goal in his fifth appearance with New England’s second team, sending New England into halftime leading 1-0.
Ítalo extended Revs II’s lead in the 52nd minute, capitalizing on a cross in from Ryan Lima from the center of the box with a left-footed shot for his first MLS NEXT Pro goal.
New England now sits in sixth place in the Eastern Conference with just three points separating the second and sixth place teams.

I paid the price on it, but it was all worth it and made every bad moment up to now worth it. It was amazing.”
On making first professional start:
Fry: “It was amazing. I was just trying to take in everything. I was just looking around. All the boys were so nice when I came today. They gave me everything I needed. I just can’t thank the group enough. It was an amazing night.”
On Max Weinstein’s performance:
Fry: “What a guy. I listened to the interview, and the way Yuta [Nomura] talked about him is exactly how I would describe [Max Weinstein].” Model professional at 18 years old. Everyone should look up to him.”
On the mindset going into the two remaining games this season:
Fry: “I think that, for example, in that game that we won against the [Chicago] Fire, I think that we worked really hard, and we dug out a result, but it was hard. Not that today wasn’t hard, but we were doing it with a smile on our face. We were high fiving, having fun, and I think that’s the difference today and that we can definitely bring that into next game.”
