Center of Excellence Provides Opportunity to Talented Young Players

Later this month, Republic FC’s Youth Development Academy is partnering with B&B Aim Foundation to continue growing the game for young players in the Central Valley. Republic FC’s Academy staff will put on two free Center of Excellence training sessions in Clovis, California – one on October 28 and the other on November 18.
Participants will receive specialized instruction on a number of important technical and tactical concepts, and the chance to work with the club’s Academy Staff – including Academy Director Eder Quintanilla, who holds both USSF and UEFA “A” coaching licenses and experience coaching with the US Youth National Team ranks, former Republic FC midfielder Ivan Mirkovic, and U14 Head Coach Brian Willey, who led the U13 squad to the best record in the nation last season. Center of Excellence sessions are open only to competitive Boys’ players born in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. More information is available at SacRepublicFC.com/TalentID.
In 2015, Republic FC launched the Sacramento region’s only youth development academy with a direct pipeline to playing professional soccer. The club’s staff has helped develop 11 players who have moved on to the professional ranks with a first-team side – including three who have joined Republic FC’s first team and three more who have been selected in the MLS SuperDraft – and over 60 who have continued their careers in college soccer programs.
