DES MOINES – The Iowa Barnstormers have re-signed defensive back D’Vaughn Whitt to the 2023 roster, Head Coach Dave Mogensen announced today.

Whitt (5-11, 190, Charleston) returns to the Iowa Barnstormers for the 2023 season. Whitt originally joined the Barnstormers for the tail end of the 2022 season, appearing in one game with the team. Collegiately, Whitt began his career at Murray State University where he spent two seasons before transferring to the University of Charleston. In two and a half seasons with the Golden Eagles, Whitt appeared in 25 games where he collected 96 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, five interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.


“D. Whitt joined us for the last week of the season in 2022 and proved right away he had the ability to compete at this level,” said Head Coach Mogensen. “We are looking forward to getting him into camp and allowing him to have a full season to showcase himself.”

Whitt will enter the Iowa Barnstormers 2023 Training Camp in the Spring.
