Benjamin Cremaschi Called up to the U.S. U-20 Men’s Youth National Team

Inter Miami CF II and Academy midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi has been called up to the United States U-20 Men’s Youth National Team for a training camp at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas from Oct. 25 to Nov. 5. Cremaschi is one of 16 players called up to participate in the camp, training alongside the U.S. Men’s National Team in its camp for MLS-based players who are in contention for the World Cup roster and no longer in league competition, including Inter Miami defender DeAndre Yedlin.


Cremaschi, 17, has been called up to a number of different U.S. youth national team levels this season. Most recently, he featured at the Slovenia Nations Cup with the U-19 Men’s Youth National Team where he helped the team clinch the title, including starting and bagging a brace to help the team earn a win over Croatia. Before that, Cremaschi was called up by coach Marko Mitrović to the U.S. U-19 team for friendlies against England and Norway in Marbella, Spain, in June, and for a training camp from July 25 through Aug. 2 in Carson, Calif., as well as for a training camp with the U.S. U-17 team at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson from April 22 to May 1.

At the club level, the midfielder appeared in 13 matches for Inter Miami CF II in MLS NEXT Pro, scoring five goals and registering an assist in 744 minutes played in his debut season at the professional level. The 17-year-old was also a standout for the Inter Miami U-17 team during the 2021-22 season, being one of the sides’ leaders at the 2022 Generation adidas Cup back in April, helping the team finish at the top of the U-17 East (South) Division which concluded in June, and being part of the squad that competed at the MLS NEXT Cup U-17 tournament at the end of June and early July. He was also named an MLS NEXT All-Star, where he scored a goal in the MLS NEXT All-Star Game en route to a victory.

Cremaschi is among a growing list of current and former Inter Miami CF Academy players to be called up to a youth national team, including: Ezequiel Abadia-Reda, Noah Allen, Nicholas Almeida, Tyler Austin, Edison Azcona, Logan Batiste, Israel Boatwright, Bryan Destin, Justin Ellis, Pedro Faide, Tyler Hall, Santiago Morales, Miles Perkovich, Adrian Rosario, David Ruiz, Kobi Thomas, and Felipe Valencia, among others.
