Game Preview: Prince George Cougars at Vancouver Giants (Game #9)

Tonight, at the Langley Events Centre, the Prince George Cougars take on the Vancouver Giants at 7:30 PM. The Cougars are coming off a 4-1 loss at CN Centre to the league leading Winnipeg ICE. Ryker Singer had the lone goal for Prince George, which was his first of the season. This is the second meeting between the Cougars and Giants in two weeks. Back on October 7th, the Cougars defeated Vancouver 4-3 in a shootout at the Langley Events Centre. Carter MacAdams delivered the shootout winner for the Cougars.

5 in 5: Cougar captain Ethan Samson has had an impressive start to kick off the 2022-23 season. The 19-year-old out of Delta has already registered five points in five games (1G-4A). The 2021 Philadelphia Flyers draft pick had his best offensive season in 2021-22, where we scored 15 times, along with 28 helpers in 68 games. Samson is also the longest tenured Cougar on the roster, who has suited up in 156 games.

THE CAPTAIN IS BACK: Ottawa Senators 2022 draft pick and Giants captain Zack Ostapchuk has returned for the G-Men in a big way. The 19-year-old from St. Albert, AB has been back for a pair of games, and has collected points in each of them (1G-1A). Ostapchuk had a big year offensively for the Giants last season, finishing with 43 points in 60 games (26G-17A).
