Americans Host Silvertips Looking for Back-To-Back Victories

The Tri-City Americans and Everett Silvertips will match up tonight for the second time in their nine-game season series.
They have met once prior on September 30. Tri-City put on a strong performance in their last meeting with Jake Sloan opening scoring, but ultimately fell 4-2. Lukas Dragicevic scored Tri-City’s second goal that night. Tomas Suchanek played the full game in net against the Silvertips, turning aside 42 of 46 shots faced.
Both teams come in to tonight’s game coming off a victory over the Spokane Chiefs. The Americans most recently played on Saturday when they defeated the Chiefs 4-1. Everett took on Spokane on Sunday, taking a 7-3 victory.
Adam Mechura, Elouann Lemonnier, and Ethan Ernst (2) scored for Tri-City in their last game. Americans netminder Tomas Suchanek put on a star performance in net. The Czechia native turned aside 44 of 45 shots faced as the Americans were out shot 45-20.
Lemonnier had a goal and an assist, bringing his season total to four points. He has found the scoresheet in five WHL games, three of those have been a multi-point effort.
Lukas Dragicevic and Jordan Gavin currently lead the Americans in scoring with two goals and five assists each.
Gavin, still just 15-years-old with a late birthday, leads all 2006-born players in the WHL with 8 points. The Surrey, B.C. native has been selected to compete with Team Canada Black at the 2022 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in November.
The Americans will host the Silvertips and Winterhawks this weekend at the Toyota Center, before embarking on their Eastern Conference road trip. It will be the first time the Americans have visited the Eastern Division since 2018-19.
