WR Stokes Signs with Panthers

The Panthers have added a big-play threat with the addition of wide receiver JT Stokes.
Last season, Stokes played for the Arizona Rattlers following a breakout rookie year in Bismarck.
“We’re getting a young player who has been productive in this league,” said Head Coach Darren Arbet. “JT brings a lot to the table and will a big addition to our offense. “
Stokes made the IFL All-Rookie Team with the Bucks in 2021 after making 33 catches for 526 yards and 13 touchdowns. He had 8 plays for 25 yards or more for the Bucks, showcasing his ability to stress a defense. Stokes led all receivers in the IFL with an average of 16.2 yards per catch.
“I’m excited to come prove myself and help the organization, put in the work and make it a successful season,” said Stokes. “I’ll bring versatility to the team. I’m a great route runner and very physical. I feel I can help the out team on special teams along with making plays as a receiver.”
Stokes said the the new coaching staff played a major role in joining the Panthers: “We’ve got some legendary coaches coming here and I heard a lot of good things about them. The coaches and the organization sold me.”
The Wingate University product had an extremely productive college career, including a big senior season. He had 873 total yards to go with 10 touchdowns during his senior season for the Bulldogs. The 6’0″ WR played his high school football at Mary Persons High School in Forsyth, GA.
