ICE CHIPS

It’s the second stop on an eight game road trip for the Winnipeg ICE tonight as they meet the Moose Jaw Warriors. Last night in Regina, the ICE started this western odyssey with a 5-2 win over the Pats. Aiden Oiring, Owen Pederson, Ben Zloty, Connor McClennon and Ty Nash scored while Daniel Hauser made 21 saves. Carson Lambos was named the 24th Captain in ICE franchise history on Thursday. The 19 year old returned Wednesday from Minnesota Wild Training Camp where he appeared in three NHL preseason games with the Wild. Connor McClennon, Owen Pederson and Ben Zloty were named alternate captains for 2022-23.


ICE VS WARRIORS

The ICE and Warriors will play six times during the regular season (Tonight @ MJ / Dec 28 @ MJ / Jan 21 @ Wpg / Jan 22 @ Wpg / Feb 17 @ MJ / Mar 22 @ Wpg).

Winnipeg had a 5-1-0-1 record versus Moose Jaw during the 2021-22 regular season led by forward Mikey Milne who registered 12 points (6 goals and 6 assists). Ben Zloty led the ICE with eight assists. Brayden Yager had seven points (4 goals and 3 three assists) to lead the Warriors.
