Weekly Game Notes:
Chicago Steel: The Steel square off against the Madison Capitols on Saturday night in a matchup of the last two Eastern Conference Champions. Madison represented the Eastern Conference in the Clark Cup Final last season while the Chicago Steel won the conference before raising the Clark Cup in the 2020-21 season.
Lincoln Stars: Mason Marcellus has points in each of his first three games of the season to put him in a tie for third amongst USHL points leaders. Marcellus’ two power play goals are tied for the most in the League.
Madison Capitols: The Capitols look to defend home ice as the team hosts a pair of Eastern Conference rivals with the Green Bay Gamblers visiting on Friday and the Chicago Steel on Saturday.
Sioux City Musketeers: Sioux City hosts the Des Moines Buccaneers on Saturday night, in the teams first return to Tyson Events Center as defending Clark Cup Champions.
Sioux Falls Stampede: League-leading scorers Maddox Fleming (1-5-6) and Sam Harris (5-1-6) will try to remain fixtures on the scoresheet on Saturday night against defending Goaltender of the Week Anton Castro and his Fargo Force. Both the Stampede and Force are currently in a four-way tie atop the Western Conference standings.
