ICE CHIPS
The Winnipeg ICE embark on an eight game road trip starting tonight in Regina. Over the next 16 days, the ICE will travel through Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia on their longest road trip of the season. Winnipeg is coming off a 5-2 victory Saturday in Medicine Hat. Conor Geekie recorded his first WHL hat trick while Skyler Bruce and Jaren Brinson also found the back of the net. Keegan Maddocks earned his first WHL victory in net making 32 saves. Yesterday, Carson Lambos was named the 24th Captain in ICE franchise history. The 19 year old returned Wednesday from Minnesota Wild Training Camp where he appeared in three NHL preseason games with the Wild. Connor McClennon, Owen Pederson and Ben Zloty were named alternate captains for 2022-23. ICE VS PATS
The ICE and Pats will play six times during the regular season (Tonight @ Reg / Nov 17 @ Wpg / Nov 19 @ Wpg / Dec 11 @ Wpg / Feb 18 @ Reg / Mar 3 @ Reg).
Winnipeg had a 7-0 record versus Regina during the 2021-22 regular season led by forwards Matthew Savoie (7 goals and 6 assists) and Zach Benson (6 goals & 7 assists) who each registered 13 points.
