Head-to-Head:

The Rangers hold the slight advantage against the 67’s dating back to the 2016-17 campaign. In eight regular season games across that span, the Blueshirts own a 4-3-1-0 record and a 3-1-0-0 record at The Aud. Both players have recorded 3 points through the opening two games of the season. Defenceman Simon Motew earned himself second star of the game in Kitchener’s last game against Owen Sound recording 2 assists, both coming at even strength.

Scouting the 67’s:

Luca Pinelli (2023 Draft Eligible), brother of Ranger’s captain, Francesco Pinelli, is returning after posting 36 points (14G, 22A) in his rookie campaign. The brothers will face-off against each other for the first time in their OHL careers. Luca also comes into tonight with a two-game point streak of his own and leading the league in goals (4G) thus far. Ottawa’s leading point scorer from a season ago returns, Vinzenz Rohrer who posted 25G and 23A (48 points) in 64 games.

There are four NHL Draftees returning to the 67’s roster this season. Forwards Tyler Boucher (Ottawa Senators), Jack Beck (Calgary Flames), and Vinzenz Rohrer (Montreal Canadiens). Defenceman Jack Matier (Nashville Predators).
