Niagara IceDogs Week Ahead

Niagara IceDogs Week Ahead

October 3, 2022 – Ontario Hockey League (OHL)Niagara IceDogs News Release

It’s week two of the season, and after losing a tight game in overtime on Thursday night, the IceDogs bounced back in a big way over the weekend. On the Michigan trip, the team won two straight including a 7-2 THUMPING of Saginaw on Sunday night! Up next is one more game on the road Thursday night in Barrie, before back-to-back games here at the Meridian Centre on Friday and Saturday night at 7:00pm! Tickets are available NOW, so be sure to scoop up your preferred seats before they’re gone! Help us welcome the boys back from their road trip the only way we know how to: LOUDLY!

The Dogs are heating up, as forward Aidan Castle has three goals in three games to start the year, while rookie Kevin He has goals in his last two straight. Goalies Owen Flores and Josh Rosenzweig both stood tall over the weekend, allowing only two goals each.

The Oshawa Generals are first up on Friday night, and come into town having won two out of their first three games of the year. Featuring seven players drafted in the first round of their respective OHL drafts, and NHL draftee Brett Harrison (2021, third round to Boston), this game should be nothing short of fast paced and exciting.

Saturday night the Guelph Storm are in the building, and are going to be hungry for redemption after losing their first two games so far. Featuring five NHL draft picks, the Storm will look to bring a whole bunch of skill into the Meridian Centre, so it’s a good thing we have plenty of skill to spare!

Both these matchups will be high octane and competitive, and what better way to spend a Friday or Saturday night than watching some live hockey? Tickets start at ONLY $15 and are selling fast, so be sure to head to our website, or call/email our office, to get yours TODAY!
